Christchurch is the best place to have a vacation. To relax your eyes and see the treasure of nature its really the best decision to visit Christchurch. Head south along Colombo Street towards the hills (Cashmere end). When you get to the very end of the road, go straight over the roundabout and up the rather steep Dyers Pass Road. Keep following the road all the way until you get to the Sign of the Kiwi. This in itself is a beautiful drive and you may even fancy stopping for a coffee and slice of cake at the cafe here. Turn left at the Sign of the Kiwi and you're on the Summit Road. Follow the road all the way along the scenic drive through the Port Hills and you'll eventually come out at the pretty seaside town of Sumner, 46 km down the road. The drive will take you past Rapaki Rock, Castle Rock, the Bridle Path, the Memorial to Pioneer Women and Christchurch Gondola. Furthermore, you will amaze by the views of the Pacific Ocean, Christchurch city and the Southern Alps to your left and the lush green hills and turquoise-coloured waters of Lyttelton Harbour and Banks Peninsula to your right. It really does give you a different perspective of the region. Limited time is not enough to visit a very worthy place. To reside in Christchurch is the people's entire wish of a lifetime because of its one of a kind view. Jesus is really a great creator; He knows how people will be comfortable of nature. We must be thankful about these creations. [via newzealandtravelblog.co.nz] |
